Lisa Tenzin-Dolma & Marc Bekoff
The true story of a bond that developed between author Lisa Tenzin-Dolma, and Charlie – a traumatised, one-eyed, Romanian dog who lived the first 18 months of his life in the wild, never socialising with humans. Charting Charlie’s progress and setbacks, it explains how Lisa worked with Charlie to help him overcome his extreme fearfulness.
Passionate about dog welfare, Lisa Tenzin-Dolma is the founder and principal of The International School for Canine Practitioners, and founder of the Dog Welfare Alliance, a non-profit organisation which brings together members of the public and dog professionals, and supports rescue organisations across the globe. Lisa is the author of 21 books, including two others about dog psychology and behaviour: ‘Dog Training: the Essential Guide’, and ‘The Heartbeat at your Feet: A Practical, Compassionate New Way to Train your Dog’. She is also a consultant for the BBC on dog-related issues.
